The Cocktail Dress: Inspiration

I'll be attending a friend's wedding reception this Saturday and its an entirely outdoors, complete with Gazebo. The weather however is going to be super cold AND no stilettos for grass.

The most appropriate dress for guests at a wedding reception is probably a cocktail dress or formal dress. You can get away with a more casual dress if you are not part of immediate family or the wedding party. Or if you are not the MC or making a speech during the reception.
