Slow Cooker Garlic Lemon Chicken Breast

I recently bought a crockpot for $30 CDN at Walmart, and it has been a Godsend for making meals during the week. This recipe is from Allrecipes, the original recipe called for Cilantro, but I didn't have that on hand.

There's bokeh in the soup! Yay ~

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (16 ounces) salsa (garlic flavouring)
  • 1 package of dry taco seasoning
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 3 lbs of chicken breast

Steps:

  1. Put in salsa, taco seasoning and lemon juice in the slow cooker, mix.
  2. Slowcook on "high" for 4 hours.
  3. Shred the chicken with fork, serve with sauce.

Chicken Alfredo Roll

This recipe was adapted from the Recipe Critic. This recipe turned out fantastic! Although you may want to add a little bit more alfredo sauce than I did.  I also recommend using homemade alfredo sauce!

Delectable Marinated Chicken

This is perhaps one of the easiest recipes I've ever done, EVER. The flavour was rich, and chicken super moist. There are a lot of unique ingredients but its easy to put together.

Glazed Chicken Thighs from Oliv Tasting Room

I went on  a trip to Niagara on the Lake with some girlfriends in the summer to go for wine tasting. one of the little shops we passed by was an Olive Oil Tasting Boutique. They sold Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar in the most diverse flavours I had ever seen. I quickly bought a bottle of "Balsamic Vinegar" which has been amazing dressing and complement to my salads.

I received an email from them with a recipe from Glazed Chicken Thighs. I'm usually down to try any recipe as long as I have the ingredients. I had to attempt this recipe twice, as I decided that a quick 15 minute marinade was all I had time for. I decided to repeat the recipe, the result? Flavourful, tender chicken.

Preparation: 30 minutes
Serves 4 portions

Martha Stewart's Jerk Chicken

So I decided to try out Martha Stewart's Jerk Chicken.  I've been putting off this recipe primarily because I did not have a lot of the ingredients required. I now have a spice rack which I got for Christmas!

This recipe is simple, but VERY flavourful and tender to taste.

Roasted Asparagus with Marble Cheese

I used a recipe from Allrecipes.com but substituted the Parmesan and Marble Cheese. This is one of my favourite dishes and it only takes 15 minutes per week.
