Rochester, NY

My friend and I drove up to Rochester New York to go outlet shopping. We found this nice venue on the way and decided to snap some shots. Pictures were taken with 50mm.

We played around with different poses and effects. It was a lot of fun :)

Fan Expo: Day 2 of 4

Today was day 2 of Fan Expo. It was my fault for not booking the day off work ahead of time; so I was only able to catch the tail end. My friend Stephen got to meet Veronica Taylor, who has done the voice acting for Ash Ketchum.

Reprising my role as Lara Croft: Guardian of Light. We titled this, "Lara waits for the train".

Hanami 2: Shoot in High Park

I had the opportunity to take some pictures in High Park, Toronto. We had taken a few photos, hoping for better weather but unfortunately it rained and I got pretty drenched. The photos turned out pretty nice:

Ombre Hair: Before, After and Aftercare

I've been wanting to get ombre done for such a long time, I even created a dedicated Pinterest board to styles of Ombre that looked good on darker hair. A lot of my Ombre hair inspiration comes from Lauren Conrad and Michelle Phan. I got referred to Hannah Hwang who works out of Goa beauty salon in Koreatown, Toronto, ON right by Christie station.

Costume-Con 32: My Cosplay as Lara Croft

My Cosplay:

Just to be clear, I have never cosplayed before. Halloween costumes were store bought and usually meant to be fun and generic. I was adamant on doing a character from a show or game that I least watched/played and not some character that I had "heard of". So that was important for me.

For my first ever con, I wanted to ensure that there was some sort of "put it together myself" component involved. So I thrifted/purchased most of the individual details of the costume (which was not elaborate and not expensive) and it was actually a lot of fun showing up my thrown together costume. It was much more gratifying than purchasing something ready-made in a "usual" halloween store.

Photoshoot at Brookfield Place

I took the opportunity to take advantage of the beautifully lit interiors of Brookfield Place in Toronto with the new SLR camera I got.

Camera: Canon Rebel SL1
Location: Brookfield Place, Toronto, ON

This is one of my favourite photos, it reall looks like a scene out of a movie:

Niagara-on-the-Lake

This was a beautiful photoshoot that took place at Niagara-on-the-Lake near the Hydro towers. We played around with some really neat camera effects around sunset - it made for beautiful lighting :)

Barrie Roads

This shoot took place in Barrie and was very unexpected. I was picking up Charlie and bringing him home from a rabbitry in Barrie. We saw this empty paved road and decided to take pictures. It was beautiful too (at sunset).
